Lunchtime Halo Highlights: 2007-12-17
We just had one Xbox today, as it was the last session before
the holidays. This was our first session with the Heroic Map
Pack, though we didn't try Rat's Nest as I deemed it too
large for our small group.
Game 1: Slayer on Foundry
Note that we didn't use our normal "Handicap Leader"
game variant this time. The results were a little one-sided,
which demonstrates why we usually use those rules.

Description |

Xor1an dispatches Scooter with a power drainer and his
battle rifle.

cenotaph spots Xor1an and Scooter fighting on top of
some boxes. He misses Scooter, but gets Xor1an with his
battle rifle.

Xor1an finds Scooter and cenotaph fighting, puts a power
drainer between them and the dispatches them both with
his battle rifle.

Another complex sequence that ended with everone dying:
- cenotaph warms up Xor1an with his assault rifle and a meele
- Xor1an backs off and hits cenotaph with an overcharged plasma pistol shot
- cenotaph throws a frag genade at Xor1an
- Xor1an takes out cenotaph with a battle rifle head-shot
- At the same instant cenotaph's grenade goes off, killing Xor1an

Game 2: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on Foundry
This was using a Forged variant named "Home Depot". I
honestly don't know who first made it.

deploys a trip mine as a defensive maneuver. Scooter
joins the fight and dispatches Xor1an with the needler
and cenotaph with needles and a meele. Unfortunatley
for him, Scooter doesn't notice the trip mine.

Game 3: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on Standoff
We switched to Rockets as the starting weapon plus infinite
ammo. (We left the default weapons on the gorund, which gave
some other options.)
