After warming up, we decided to give 3v3 single flag CTF a shot. Our players have been missing the old glory days of big CTF games on Blood Gulch and Sidewinder with Halo 1. I convinced them that with the round and time limits, the one flag game type would work in our short lunchtime sessions.

After the first game we decided to give one flag another go on a different map with the same teams. People were concerned that a lack of map knowledge would be a problem, but it seemed to work.
Final score: Red 2, Blue 2.

Xor1an opens the back door (note the control panel he runs up to and actives inside the base), takes out one defender (Scooter) with a rocket and then cover's cenotaph' exit by rocketing Zolimox. FDragon pulls up in the warthog to drive the cenotaph back. (This isn't terribly interesting for gameplay, but may be useful for people who don't know how the back door of the bases on Standoff work. I recorded some of this at high speed to keep from being too long and boring.) |
