Game 1: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on High Ground

We added the battle rifle as the secondary weapon for this game.

Image/Video Description

"I think my laser overheated"

Xor1an sticks FDragon with a spike grenade while he charges the laser. (I found it interesting that the targetting laser was still visible as the grenade went off just before FDragon died.)

In case of fire, do not use stairs.

Close-up of a neat fire effect from the above shot.

Zolimox was taking fire from both Xor1an (who was using the battle rifle) and Scooter (who was using the sniper rifle). Xor1an got the kill, leaving Scooter feeling cheated.

cazador boosts his ghost into FDragon as he fires the Spartan laser, somehow sneaks under the laser (though he takes some damage) and gets a splatter kill.

Sideways laser?

After cazador splattered FDragon (shown just above), the spartan laser he dropped is pointing up. The dissipating beam still emanating from its tip clearly points in the direction it was fired.

Laser hax

cazador took no damage here and had full health and shields after this. FDragon was not in the lead and had no handicap. How did this happen? The laser beam lasts for a certain amount of time and grows smaller and dimmer until it disappears. It seems that the laser beam only causes damage early in the time that it's visible and then has a period where it's visible and dissipating but does no damage at all. cazador stepped into the laser when it was still visible but no longer doing any damage.

cenotaph leads his target (Xor1an) with his spike grenade toss for a perfect intercept.

cazador sticks Xor1an just as Xor1an gets the battle rifle head shot on cazador.

Xor1an steals a kill (cenotaph) from Zolimox and almost makes it to the overshield before the needles explode.

Game 2: One Flag on High Ground

The Red team consisted of:

The Blue team was:

Final score: Blue 2, Red 1.

Image/Video Description

Ships in the night.

Scooter's spike grenade going right, Xor1an's rocket going left. (Neither found its mark.)

F is for Phoenix.

The spike grenade Scooter threw above attached to the wall at the bottom of the UNSCDF logo.

After respawning, Xor1an makes a mad dash for the beach in a mongoose. He manages to take out the flag carrier (Zolimox), but Scooter assassinates him and FDragon grabs the flag to cary it the final few feet to score the first capture.

After red team's first carrier (Xor1an) goes down, the remaining two members of red team try to recover. They might have managed it, if FDragon hadn't found the rocket launcher with a single rocket left that Xor1an dropped when he died.

Scooter (on his first run in for blue team's second round on offense) is up to his old sniping tricks takes out cazador

Falling debris, and also incoming sniper fire.

Xor1an misses Scooter (with the sniper rifle he looted from Scooter's dead body).

The flag is mightier than the gun

On his way out for blue teams second capture, Zolimox gets a flag kill on cenotaph as he tries to stop him with the shotgun. (I'm not clear why they didn't both die, as Zolimox's shields were down. It does seem that Zolimox's shields had just started to recharge at the instant cenotaph failed, and then dropped back into the blinking red beeping state of depleted shields.)

Game 3: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on Guardian

We used my forged variant of Guardian without the needler. We also made some changes to the game settings:

Image/Video Description

Caught in his own trap.

We were playing with a slightly forged version of Guardian Xor1an made with no needler and extra plasma batteries at the top of the ramp where the needler spawns as a bit of a trap for people going for the needler. Zolimox fired a rocket at the fusion batteries to kill Xor1an just 4 seconds into the game.

Pursued by a ghost from the void.

Scooter behind a rocket explosion behind Xor1an.

Bubble kill

cazador fires a rocket at Xor1an just as Xor1an deploys a bubble shield. cazador's rocket hits the expanding bubble shield, killing cazador.

(What I find really perplexing here is that Zolimox was credited with the kill. cazador had taken no damage since he last re-spawned, so it seems like it should have been a suicide. The last time he died he was killed by Xor1an.)

Big Bubble

cenotaph took no damage from Zolimox's rocket, even though he is mostly outside the bubble shield.

Beatdown Party

Scooter beats down a wounded cenotaph, and Xor1an assassinates Scooter.

Post-rocket Beat-down

FDragon goes up the lift. Xor1an rockets FDragon at point-blank range, but because of his leader handicap merely wounds both of them. FDragon beats down Xor1an.

Game 4: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on Isolation

Image/Video Description

It's like they were made for each other.

cenotaph's brute shot stuck by Xor1an's spike grenade. Two times in a row.

FDragon sticks Xor1an.

cazador gets a triple kill: Xor1an with a frag grenade, cenotaph with the assault rifle, FDragon with the assault rifle and another frag grenade.

FDragon throws a grenade a long way at Zolimox's leader nav point and gets a double kill (Zolimox and cazador).

Near miss.

Xor1an narrowly dodges cazador's spike grenade and ducks behind the rock it attached to in order to avoid its explosive pointy bits.

Game 5: Handicap Leader (Slayer) on Snowbound

Image/Video Description

Laser Abort

Scooter prepares to laser Xor1an, but he doesn't see cenotaph sneaking up behind him for an assassination.

Boarding Revenge

Xor1an boards Fdragon's ghost, and FDragon repays him by killing him.

Purple cave.

Scooter needles Xor1an.
